Ministry: Russia threshes 47.9 mln tns of grain as of Friday

MOSCOW, Jul 26 (PRIME) -- Russian farmers threshed 47.9 million tonnes of grain in bunker weight from 13.6 million hectares as of Friday after 34.3 million tonnes from 9.3 million hectares as of the same date last year, the Agriculture Ministry said in a statement.

The crop yield fell 4.3% on the year to 35.2 metric centners per hectare.

The Agriculture Ministry expects the Russian grain harvest to amount to 118 million tonnes in 2019.
